Uniacke Saddle and Harness Club Information

The MacKenzie Centre (the barn) is available for use during the week through the Uniacke Saddle and Harness Club (USHC).

Membership fees to USHC are paid annually and come due on January 1.
They may be paid through

  • postdated cheques made payable to USHC on the 1st of every month,
  • 1 cheque on January 1 plus 1 cheque on July 1,
  • in a lump sum.

A single membership is $15 per month plus a $10 membership fee and a $10 fee for the key - This totals $190 per calendar year plus the initial key fee.

A family membership is $20 per month plus a $10 per person membership fee and $10 for one key - For a two person family the total annual cost would be $260 per calendar year plus the initial key fee.

Memberships run from January to December. Those wishing to join part way through a year pay for the remaining months in the year unless they join after July 1, in which case they pay one month's extra rent. The following January they can either take out an annual membership or surrender their membership.
Members cannot join the barn for part of the year after the initial term (ie. If you have ever been a barn member, you cannot join part way through the year - you must take out a full year membership).

Barn rentals are coordinated through Carolyn Dockrill
Members must book a time with Carolyn if they want exclusive use of the practice area.

Barn rentals are $10 per hour, $25 per half day, $50 per day.
MacKenzie Centre rentals are available on a limited basis. For date availability and rates, please contact Carolyn Dockrill.
It is important to note that the drop-in fee for non-members is now $10 per visit.
Drop in visitors must be accompanied by a USHC member, and only CAANS members can use CAANS agility equipment.
Envelopes located in the warm room explain how rentals are paid.

If you have any further questions please contact the USHC Treasurer.
A list of USHC members is posted in the warm room of the barn.
