Membership Information

The sport of agility is open to all dogs, without regard to breed or registration, mentally and physically capable of performing the challenge of negotiating an agility course. Mixed breeds, pure breeds, registered and unregistered dogs are all welcome.

There are two levels of CAANS memberships available: Full Member or Associate Member

* Active participation in a CAANS introductory course OR an assessment is required for admittance to join CAANS as a full member. However, if a CAANS appointed assessor evaluates the dog and handler and considers them competent to join without the CAANS introductory courses, a one time fee equivalent to the cost of the introductory courses will be charged. As well, the yearly CAANS membership fee of $30.00 will apply. Please contact the CAANS Program Director to enquire about introductory classes or scheduling an assessment.
